Our profound thanks to everyone who responded to the appeal to help villagers during the Coronavirus lockdown. In total £11,240 was raised. The appeal is now closed.
This funded a range of things from provision of PPE for the clinic staff, to food and medication for the most needy families unable to work. We also provided the school with individual bowls and spoons for school lunches, as normally children eat from large communal bowls with their hands. During this period a number of homes in the village were completely destroyed by storm damage and the fund was used to distribute sacks of rice to those affected.
Letter of appreciation from the Village Development Committee

The ceremony was attended by the Alkalo, a cross section of village elders and Kabilo representatives to ease the distribution procedure and ensure transparency.
